PATIALA: Punjab Youth Congress will gherao the residence of the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann and all the district administrative complexes in Punjab if within two days FIR is not registered against the Haryana administration for misuse of force and intruding into Punjab territory. Meanwhile while protesting at the Mini Sectt. Patiala, Mohit Mohindra President Punjab Youth Congress submitted memorandum to SDM Patiala Mr. Arvind Kumar who in turn assured to look into the matter and register FIR as soon as possible.
Punjab Youth Congress under the leadership of Sh. Mohit Mohindra, President today held a massive protest in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Patiala. Thousands of youth from across the state raised slogans against the role of Deputy Commissioner Patiala in the recent incidents of farmers agitation at Shambhu. Alleging incompetence on the role of Deputy Commissioner Patiala, Mohit said that if the officers would have acted promptly on the request submitted to them on 15Feb by me, today Shubhkarman would have been among us. Why the DC didn’t register criminal case on the DC Ambala for intruding our border by the Haryana security forces and use teargas, rubber pellets and bullet firing on the farmers sitting in the Punjab territory at Shambhu Border. This clearly shows the inexperience attitude of the Govt officials.
Mohit further said that we wrote a letter to the DC Patiala on 15th Feb but nothing was done on it which resulted in firing at Khanauri border killing our young farmer. Lambasting on the Punjab Govt, Mohit said that the role of the Punjab Govt is also under scanner. One side they are asking the officials to stop the JCB machines to reach the borders making the farmers totally handicapped secondly the farmers are being brutally charged by the Haryana security forces. We have reports that few of farmers are missing from the borders and there is strong apprehension that the security forces from Haryana entering our territory and forcefully taking them along.
Mohit also said that youth congress is organizing permanent camp in the farmer agitation providing them with free ambulance service and medicines.
