CHANDIGARH: In a major blow to trans-border narcotic networks, the Punjab Police have seized five kg of heroin and arrested three people in Ajnala of Amritsar district, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday.

CHANDIGARH: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has disqualified six candidates, contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections, through orders. Divulging the details, Punjab's Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C stated that these candidates have not submitted their election expenses as per section 78 of Representation of the People Act, 1951 to the commission within the specified timeframe , thus rendering them ineligible to contest elections for the next 3 years under Section 10 A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
