AMRITSAR: The e-CARe portal has been launched by the Union Ministry for requisitioning dead bodies of migrant Indians from abroad. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar said that in such cases the petitioners can directly submit their requests on the portal https://ecare.mohfw.gov.in/.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Immigrant Indian Affairs Department of the Punjab Government has also issued a letter to the departments to inform as many people as possible about this portal so that during such cases people can submit their request on the portal. He said that the purpose of this portal is to bring the dead bodies of Indians to their homeland without any hindrance and delay through a smooth process in case of death abroad.
